Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy is meant to explain what information MW Industries, Inc. (MWI) collects from our customers, from the use of our web sites & services, as well as from various suppliers, partners and representatives. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled, stored, and disposed, and what rights you have with regard to your personal information.

This Privacy Policy covers all brands and web sites owned and operated by MWI, which distribute or link to this policy and applies to all sites and services offered by MWI, its brands and affiliates, and services offered on third-party sites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to sites and services that have separate privacy policies that do not incorporate this Privacy Policy.

How We Gather Data

Site Activity

As you use our websites and services, we utilize analytic software that automatically collects information about site activity, browser and network data. We use such data to monitor our sites’ efficiency, improve our websites and services, and offer recommendations for content and services.

Form Submissions

When you contact us, request a quote, answer polls, leave feedback or comments, use other feedback options, or download specific content through the use of web forms on our websites, we use the information you provide to fulfill your request for information and services and offer you future content recommendations.

Data Providers

We utilize various services and advertising partners to find and reach prospective customers. Information provided to us by these services are added into our resource management database.  We do not endorse or make any representations or warranties concerning, and will not in any way be liable for, any information, products, services, software, or other materials available through third parties.  Your interaction with these third parties and their services and/or websites is governed by and subject to the terms and conditions of those third-party services and/or third-party websites.  We encourage you to carefully review the privacy policies and statements of such third-party services and/or third-party websites.

Trade Shows

We attend several industry trade shows each year, collecting business cards and scanning badges from those who wish to hear from us further. Personal information may be collected and added into our resource management database and transferred to the agent or representative of the company best able to address the immediate need for information.

We will use the information we collect to provide the services/information requested.  We only process your information to the extent it is necessary for fulfilling the purposes below and otherwise where we can rely on a legal ground for such processing.  Where required, we will ask you for your prior consent.

Providing Services You Request

When you submit a request for information, content, products & services from MWI, your information is used to respond to your request.

Analytics

We may use site traffic patterns and other information collected by our websites to monitor the effectiveness of existing content, improve our websites and services, and offer recommendations for future content and services.

Communication Regarding Services

The brands of MWI occasionally contact active customers about new or updated products, capabilities, and services.

We may use information about you where you have given us consent to do so for a specific purpose not listed above. For example, we may publish customer success stories and testimonials to promote our services, with your permission.

Law Enforcement

Comply with law enforcement, government officials, regulatory agencies, or other parties’ request when we are required to do so by applicable law.  We will also disclose your information to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, subpoena, or legal process.  We may share your information if it relates to a criminal investigation or alleged criminal activity, or for fraud protection, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights or property of MWI or the users of the sites and services.

How & Where We Store Data

Information Storage & Security

We use data hosting service providers in the United States to host the information that we collect. While we use a number of technical measures to secure your data, no security system is impenetrable. Given the nature of communications and information technology, and that the use of the Internet has inherent risks, although we regularly monitor for possible vulnerabilities and attack, we cannot warrant or guarantee that information provided to us or stored in our systems or otherwise will be absolutely free from unauthorized intrusion by others, nor can we warrant or guarantee that such data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. How Long We Keep Data

Browser Do Not Track Usage

Some browsers have incorporated “Do Not Track” (DNT) features that can send a signal to the websites you visit, indicating you do not wish to be tracked. As there is not yet a common understanding on how to interpret the DNT signals, our websites do not currently respond to browser DNT signals.

Privacy of Minors

Our sites and services are not meant for use by children under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please ask a responsible adult to use the sites and services on your behalf. It is the responsibility of parents or guardians to monitor their children’s use of our sites and services.

Sharing w/Third Party Sites & Social Media Plug-Ins

When you use links on our websites to visit a third party site or utilize social media plugins embedded in our websites, the site or plugin being used will obtain information about your activities on our websites. Additionally, the operator of social media plugins embedded in our websites may place a cookie on your device that enables that operator to recognize individuals who have previously visited our sites. The social media plugins also allow social media websites to share information about your activities on our websites with other users of their social media website. These sharing settings are managed by the social media web site and governed by its privacy policy.

California Code 1798

Subject to certain limits under California Civil Code 1798.83, California residents may ask us to provide them with (1) a list of certain categories of information that we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, and (2) the identity of those third parties.

Accessing Our Site Globally

Our websites are owned and operated by MWI in the United States, however the information you provide may be accessible to our affiliates, vendors, and suppliers in other countries.
